Searching and finding trends

With about 15,000 prefab houses, Gussek Haus is among the most renowned manufacturers in Germany. A VISION-II-ST Sprint has been in use since 2013, the intelligent configuration of which drastically reduces tool changing times and has thus made the line the core of staircase manufacturing

Flexible 5‑axes machining at Westerkappeln

The Derix group of companies has specialised in glued laminated timber for construction purposes. Their priority is on hall structures, which includes also highly complex shapes. They are working with three identical lines of type VISION-III-TT 5‑axes, each of which is equipped with a beam table 16,500 x 3,600 mm that consists of 23 steel traverses with wooden beam tops, as well as with a conveyor.

House at the push of a button

First meeting of experts on the topic of timber construction

On November 9, 2021, we hosted the first expert meeting – the focus was on the future of timber construction. The objective of our expert meeting was to offer planners, contractors and all those involved in construction, a common platform to swap ideas about the role of wood as an ecological material and the advantages of automated processing.

An ingenious interpretation of sustainability

High degree of prefabrication obtained by through-feed systems

The Chiemgau-based company Regnauer Fertigbau GmbH produces house walls and ceilings. The highly efficient ECO-3313‑A continuous production line was smoothly integrated into the existing production line in 2021 and has since been a central component in the overall process.

Planking parts in timber frame construction

Expert talk with Thomas Czwielong, Managing Director Reichenbacher

Planking components, made of various materials and intended for different functions, place high demands on the logistics of the production facilities and on the sequencing. ”A house at your fingertips“ is our claim, which we take as a basis when considering the industrial production of different modules for house construction

The future of timber construction

Second expert meeting on the topic of timber construction

The expert meeting took place for the second time at Reichenbacher Hamuel on November 9, 2022. Important topics were how much individuality a society can still afford in view of scarce resources in building, or what a factory of the future could look like.

Timber frames for green building

Setra Group Långshyttan

The Reichenbacher VISION-III-TT 5‑axis system, the series designation of which in itself promises something extraordinary, was installed in Langshyttan in central Sweden at the end of 2023. Equipped with a steel beam table with wooden supports and conveyor, the system features an impressive working area of 20,000 mm x 3,100 mm. This enables the processing of very large CLT panels for house walls, ceiling and roof elements.

Sustainable building with wood

CNC machining for buildings of the future

The group of people willing to build single-family homes is decreasing; to the same extent, the demand for sustainably built multi-family homes and construction in the commercial sector is increasing. Bauer Holzbau focuses on these growth markets and responds to the changing conditions with modern production methods.

Timber construction with a future

State of the art technology

The Swiss timber construction company Renggli in Schötz specializes in energy-efficient timber house construction and is one of the pioneers of Minergie standards. Now the company is setting new standards with its new production plant, which opened at the beginning of March and is one of the most efficient of its kind in Europe.
