From scratch to hatch

A new approach to panel processing

Fully automated: At Pius Schuler, the VISION-III-TTT performs the complete joinery of multi-layer solid blockboard panels up to dimensions of 9,000 × 3,000 mm and at thicknesses ranging from 19 to 280 mm – precisely to customer specifications. The key to success lies in the detailed coordination of all process steps and a consistently optimized milling strategy that combines quality and efficiency.

Pushing the boundaries of feasibility

Stairs with complex geometries

Industrial precision: At Treppenbau.ch, the progressive VISION-ST machine uses special clamping technology to machine even circular and elliptical geometries in a single clamping operation. This ensures maximum precision and efficiency – even with long, curved components. The solution has been flexibly developed to suit the wide variety of staircase designs and systematically implements customer requirements.

High-performance components gaining ground

Growing demand in the high-tech sectors

The steadily growing demand from high-tech industries for complex, large- format components made of high-performance polymers shows no signs of abating. The production of these sophisticated components requires enormous specialist knowledge in order to meet the high standards of dimensional accuracy and surface quality.

Discover freedom

The desire to travel is as old as mankind

For almost six decades now, Hobby- Wohnwagenwerk has been passionately dedicated to building motorhomes. With working areas of 8,000 mm x 2,500 mm and an automatic beam table, three VISION-III-TT‑L systems produce a wide variety of components there.

Formwork construction

Master of the concrete

The production of sophisticated concrete formwork from wood often resembles some kind of artistry

What was once considered impossible or difficult, such as designing futuristic curves on large balconies, has become routine now thanks to modern CNC technology. Sometimes it only takes a few days from concept to realisation, before, for example, a tailor-made concrete staircase is ready for delivery.

The Reichenbacher VISION-III-TT 5‑axis system, the series designation of which in itself promises something extraordinary, was installed in Langshyttan in central Sweden at the end of 2023. Equipped with a steel beam table with wooden supports and conveyor, the system features an impressive working area of 20,000 mm x 3,100 mm. This enables the processing of very large CLT panels for house walls, ceiling and roof elements.

Recent CNC acquisition increases value creation

Pioneering a field is one thing, but achieving this in a technically and economically sensible way is another. Consequently the acquisition of a new 5‑axis CNC system has been an investment in the future. The goal is to enable the traditional company to maintain its leading role as a manufacturer of door pre-products and supplier of system solutions for functional doors for interior and exterior use.

TUfast e.V. — The Eco Team

They had the theoretical knowledge and a brilliant idea to boot: Five students from the School of Engineering and Design at the Technical University of Munich founded the TUfast e.V. association in 2002 to develop racing cars for Formula Student in practice. The complexity of geometrically demanding structures in combination with fair-faced concrete is a remarkable challenge. The impressive pagoda in the entrance area of the new rhino house at Berlin Zoo is an example for such a feat, as is a school building in Bavaria, where pretty much everything is round and there is hardly a straight wall to be found.

Craftsmanship meets modern 5‑axis technology

Driven by the passion to create incomparable one-offs, Diehl has become a symbol for exclusive stair constructions. It can be an exciting challenge when one CNC machine is to be replaced by another. However, the electrical power of the new one could have caused parts of Frankfurt to go dark for a short time.

A little bit crazy about doors

From a small carpentry business to an expert for doors

With curiosity and ambition, the company neuform-Türenwerk from Erdmannhausen near Ludwigsburg is constantly exploring trends, questioning the familiar, taking up new challenges and designing trend-setting solutions. As the product portfolio had become more and more customer-specific with batch sizes starting from 1, the company had to reposition itself.

Ideas brought into form

The purchase of a complex CNC system is also a leap in at the deep end – at least from the point of view of a small joinery business. Kurt Kutschmann (Area Sales Manager Reichenbacher Hamuel), who had the requirements of the Swiss specialists for tricky wooden form parts clearly in mind, was well aware of this.

Beyond the surface

F. LIST GMBH have gained themselves a reputation as a supplier of modern interiors for yachts and aircrafts. Their clear objective is to meet the great challenges faced in the highly sensitive aircraft industry, as the demands for utmost precision are many times higher there than in other industries.

Visions pave new paths

Increasing urbanisation everywhere around the globe asks for ever more efficient and low-emission systems in public transport and stationary industrial plants. Airex Composite Structures knew at an early stage that clever lightweight construction is a precondition for the efficient movement of weight, for effortless acceleration and for excellent mechanical performance.

Here, no staircase is like the other

„If we build two identical staircases it is only because we need two of a kind in the same building“. Apart from spacious storage areas, their shop floor is above all characterised by technically sophisticated machinery. There you find two 5‑axes machining centres, each more than six metres in length, of VISION type with gantry drive, which have been supplied by the machine builder Reichenbacher.

Hobby-Wohnwagenwerk: Relies on CNC technology from Reichenbacher

Hobby-Wohnwagenwerk from Fockbek in the Rendsburg-Eckernförde district has been building caravans and motorhomes for almost six decades. Some time ago, the company was looking for a replacement for the 30-year-old machines used to finish the outer bodies. The company found what it was looking for in the special systems manufacturer Reichenbacher Hamuel, which supplied state-of-the-art CNC technology.

CNC-controlled production of framed doors and windows

Wooden windows and doors are the business of Wilhelm GmbH in Wees. In 2009, they purchased a new CNC processing center. Initially only for staircase production, but in order to achieve better capacity utilization, front door production was also transferred to this machine. To this end, “NC-Hops” was also expanded to include a corresponding frieze construction module.
