Alumninum profile machining

Mech­top AG, our con­trac­tu­al ser­vice part­ner in Switz­er­land, has been much sought-after in the field of solid steel machi­ning in the Swiss mar­ket for 25 years. Until two years ago, their core busi­ness did not include the pro­duc­tion of alu­mi­num extru­si­on pro­files. In 2019 an order gave the go-ahead for alu­mi­num pro­fi­le pro­ces­sing on a very lar­ge scale.

The high­ly dyna­mic 5‑axes CNC-machi­ne VISION-FLEX is per­fect for the advan­ced pro­ces­sing of alu­mi­num pro­files, as it revo­lu­tio­ni­s­es the cut­ting and machi­ning even of lar­ger pro­fi­le cross-sec­tions. The pro­ces­sing of pro­files of up to 7,300 mm in length, three-sided and end-of-pro­fi­le machi­ning, are only some of the tech­ni­cal high­lights of this new machi­ne concept.

On 30 June 2022, the first work­shop ”Dry Pro­ces­sing of Alu­mi­ni­um Pro­files“ took place at the Cent­re for Light­weight Engi­nee­ring of the Stutt­gart Tech­no­lo­gy and Inno­va­ti­on Cam­pus S‑TEC. About 30 par­ti­ci­pan­ts from indus­try and sci­ence were pre­sent to learn about new trends along the enti­re pro­cess chain of the dry pro­ces­sing of alu­mi­ni­um profiles.
