A long-stan­ding machi­ne sup­pli­er of Hoba had tho­rough­ly dealt with the requi­re­ments of the inten­ded unit. It took two years until this sup­pli­er final­ly rejec­ted the pro­ject, but made a recom­men­da­ti­on in our favour. We took up the chall­enge – basi­cal­ly spea­king, this machi­ne should be capa­ble of per­forming tasks that would other­wi­se have requi­red three machines.

In Switz­er­land, the name Bach Hei­den AG is equa­ted with pre­mi­um and aes­the­ti­cal­ly supe­ri­or fire pro­tec­tion pro­ducts and with JASO®-doors. The com­pa­ny is among the mar­ket lea­ders in this sec­tor. Foun­ded almost 80 years ago as a vil­la­ge car­pen­try and joi­n­ery, the com­pa­ny has spe­cia­li­sed in manu­fac­tu­ring high­ly intri­ca­te com­pon­ents by simul­ta­neous CNC operations.

Pio­nee­ring a field is one thing, but achie­ving this in a tech­ni­cal­ly and eco­no­mic­al­ly sen­si­ble way is ano­ther. Con­se­quent­ly the acqui­si­ti­on of a new 5‑axis CNC sys­tem has been an invest­ment in the future. The goal is to enable the tra­di­tio­nal com­pa­ny to main­tain its lea­ding role as a manu­fac­tu­rer of door pre-pro­ducts and sup­pli­er of sys­tem solu­ti­ons for func­tion­al doors for inte­ri­or and exte­ri­or use.

With curio­si­ty and ambi­ti­on, the com­pa­ny neu­form-Türen­werk from Erd­mann­hau­sen near Lud­wigs­burg is con­stant­ly explo­ring trends, ques­tio­ning the fami­li­ar, taking up new chal­lenges and desig­ning trend-set­ting solu­ti­ons. As the pro­duct port­fo­lio had beco­me more and more cus­to­mer-spe­ci­fic with batch sizes start­ing from 1, the com­pa­ny had to repo­si­ti­on itself.

More fle­xi­ble, fas­ter and more effi­ci­ent pro­duc­tion – that was the goal of door spe­cia­list Prüm. To this end, the com­pa­ny com­mis­sio­ned a new pro­duc­tion sys­tem from Rei­chen­ba­cher Hamu­el, which set new stan­dards for Rei­chen­ba­cher in terms of com­ple­xi­ty and speed. The ultra-modern high-per­for­mance machi­ning cen­ter went into ope­ra­ti­on at Prüm in 2015.

Woo­den win­dows and doors are the busi­ness of Wil­helm GmbH in Wees. In 2009, they purcha­sed a new CNC pro­ces­sing cen­ter. Initi­al­ly only for stair­ca­se pro­duc­tion, but in order to achie­ve bet­ter capa­ci­ty uti­liza­ti­on, front door pro­duc­tion was also trans­fer­red to this machi­ne. To this end, “NC-Hops” was also expan­ded to include a cor­re­spon­ding frie­ze con­s­truc­tion module.

To exceed cus­to­mer expec­ta­ti­ons, Prüm-Türen­werk GmbH reli­es on Total Qua­li­ty Manage­ment – con­sis­t­ent­ly. So it comes as no sur­pri­se that the latest tech­no­lo­gy is used in the manu­fac­tu­ring pro­cess. The remar­kab­le qua­li­ty can be reco­gni­zed at first glan­ce, and the doors have recent­ly been pro­du­ced on a Rei­chen­ba­cher sys­tem that is uni­que in terms of com­ple­xi­ty and speed.
